March 21, 2017 Coordination Between White House Officials and House Intelligence Committee Chair

The New York Times reports that on the evening of March 21, White House staffers, Ezra Cohen-Watnick and Michael Ellis, invited Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, to the White House where they gave him intelligence reports showing that “Trump and his associates were incidentally swept up in foreign surveillance by American spy agencies.”  The following day, Nunes called a press conference then returned to the White House to brief Trump on the information before informing his committee members about the classified materials he reviewed.
