July 2008 Major Real Estate Profit During Housing Collapse in U.S.

Trump’s single largest residential real estate deal to date involves the sale of a Palm Beach mansion to fertilizer billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev for $95 million dollars.  Trump purchased the property in November 2004 for $41 million dollars.  The Russian oligarch has never lived in the house, and in April 2016, received permission from Palm Beach’s architectural commission to demolish it completely.  Trump denies ever meeting Rybolovlev, “He just happened to be from Russia.”  However, several news outlets reported that Trump and Rybolovlev were in the same U.S. cities at the same time during Trump’s campaign and after he became President, even though Rybolovlev lives on a different continent.
